Licensed and experienced clinical mental health counselor in the states of North Carolina and Florida; I provide telehelath mental health services for adolescents, adults and couples looking for a supportive environment to process trauma, regulate emotions, and unpack experiences that may weigh heavy. I use yoga, meditation and mindfulness to help clients regulate and feel grounded in their lives. I believe that water and the beach are healing and rejuvenating and encourage clients to find their peace and serenity in nature.

My approach to therapy is tailored to the clients needs and goals for themselves. However, I rely heavily on the following therapeutic approaches:
EMDR is a psychotherapy technique developed to treat traumatic memories and associated distress. Through a structured eight-phase process, clients focus on distressing memories while undergoing bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or taps. The goal is to help individuals reprocess traumatic experiences, reducing their emotional intensity and promoting psychological healing.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used form of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It is based on the idea that our thoughts influence our feelings and behaviors, and aims to help individuals develop coping strategies and problem-solving skills. By challenging and restructuring unhelpful beliefs, CBT assists in treating a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and phobias.
Gottman Method Couples Therapy is designed to help couples build and maintain a strong, healthy relationship by fostering trust and intimacy, improving communication, and resolving conflicts effectively. The therapy emphasizes the importance of enhancing friendship and mutual respect while addressing specific relationship issues through various interventions, including teaching partners to manage conflicts constructively and nurturing shared goals and values. By integrating research-based strategies, the Gottman Method aims to strengthen the emotional connection between partners and promote long-term relationship satisfaction.

As a trauma informed therapist; I work with clients to understand their story and to help them navigate their healing journey. I believe understanding boundaries and prioritizing self are the first steps to regaining control over one’s life. I have helped clients of all ages, genders, race and social backgrounds begin to heal from depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, and ADHD symptoms that may be disrupting their lives.
While I enjoy working with individuals; I also enjoy working with couples to identify their strengths and support them as they recognize areas for improvement within their relationships.
